The Wuppertal ATLAS Group
The main hardware activities of the Wuppertal ATLAS group have to do
with the development of the pixel detector. First, there is the development
work of MCM-D type modules and general module tests. In addition, the
group is strongly involved in the design and tests of the opto-links
to the read
out of the modules. Further activities are the mechanical support structures
for the barrel layers, as well as the Detector Control System (DCS).
On the software
side the group is involved in tracking for the ATLAS Level 2 Trigger
System (LVL2).
An additional activity consists of participation in the development of the Liquid Argon Calorimeter for ATLAS.
